Entering his Junior year here at Emerson, Frank has been fortunate enough to be able to become president of this amazing org. He can't wait to bring all the skills and lessons that he's learned from his journey so far at Emerson, and apply them to making this year the BEST year for NBS. He's looking forward to collaborating with all the incredible talent at this school, organizing fun and invaluable events/workshops, and continue working with all of you awesome people!
Nikki is returning to the board this year as Vice President. She is a rising junior studying Visual Media Arts with a minor in business. Her goals this year is for NBS to be a tool in helping students create projects starting as soon as any students first semester on campus. She’s super excited to work with the rest of the board this year and continue growing the NBS community!
Nicole is a junior VMA major with a concentration in cinematography. This is her first year on the NBS board. She is excited to be part of an organization that fosters growth and provides opportunities for students of all academic years to get involved, regardless of experience. Nicole is determined to help make this year the best year yet for NBS and encourage more people to participate in everything NBS has to offer!
Nicole’s goal for the semester is to not kill the two plants she just spent $30 on.
Born in New Milford, Connecticut, Davin Roberts is a sophomore Visual Media Arts (VMA) major and will be serving as treasurer for National Broadcasting Society (NBS) in the 2019-2020 academic school year. As a VMA major, Davin plans to focus on producing for television. In his first year at Emerson, Davin has been the producer for two Emerson Channel shows, worked as an engineer for the 38th annual Evvy’s, and has lighting designed for 5 shows including an NBS special. He was also hired to be the Production Supervisor for the 39th annual Evvy’s in 2020. Aside from his professional accomplishments, Davin is also a member of the Phi Alpha Tau fraternity at Emerson College. Davin describes himself as ambitious, professional, and approachable, and he is looking forward to expanding his leadership skills while working with other like-minded individuals.
Taylor is a junior majoring in Visual Media Arts Production with a Marketing minor. Having worked in post production for NBS projects in the past, she is excited to be a part of the 2019-2020 board. Her goal this year is to balance her passions of filmmaking and running, as a member of NBS and the Emerson Cross Country team.
Alanna is a rising junior focusing on non fiction film production in the Visual Media Arts program. She is very excited to be a part of the NBS team for a second time, this year, as the equipment manager. She and Rachel are always here to assist in making student film productions more accessible through equipment check outs and support! Alanna loves the community that NBS fosters and can’t wait for all of the big plans that NBS has this year. Currently, Alanna is gearing up for her BFA in the spring and hopes that she has a little bit of time to catch her breathe in between projects this semester.
Rachel is a rising Junior majoring in Visual Media Arts Production. Excited to be apart of the board again this year, she hopes to help students feel more confident in their abilities using equipment. She and Alanna are working hard on preparing the equipment rental process to be as efficient as possible for all current and incoming students. Rachel's favorite part of NBS is working on the studio show, Musicians Wanted. This next year, Rachel will be producing the EVVY awards and a late night comedy show, praying that she still has time to eat between classes.
Neale is a Junior pursuing a BFA in Film Production, concentrating on Producing and other production training. After joining NBS in 2018 as Treasurer, Neale is excited to return as the production coordinator, ensuring NBS productions will go off without a hitch, while being a liaison between the school and NBS producers. Neale’s favorite part of working with NBS is the community, which creates a positive attitude toward practice and learning on set.
